Smyrna --Mr. Charlie Artemus Harward Jr., 66, of 2115 Ebenezer Road, passed away on Thursday, May 4th, 2023, at Piedmont Medical Center of Fort Mill.

Born in Durham, NC, he was the husband of Mary Sprankle Harward and the son of the late Charlie A Harward Sr. and Sarah Davis Harward. Charlie formerly worked in Trucking, loved fishing, football, racing, spending time with his family, never met any strangers and had a great love for children.

Surviving Mr. Harward are his wife, Mary Harward, his mother, Sarah Harward of Smyrna, daughters; Tina Burgess (James) of Blacksburg, Crystal Hall (Chad) of Clover, Anna Wilder (Paul) of York, Michelle Roberts of York, Jennifer Roberts of York and Lela Heatherly (Roger) of Lake Lure, a brother, Timothy Harward Sr. (Yolena) of Wake Forest, NC, sisters; Marie Shumate of Greenville, SC and Denise Morris (Mitch) of Rock Hill, grandchildren; Noah, Hunter, Dalton, Chelsey, Kendra, Landon, Clarissa, Hailey, Remington, Carmen, Cameron, Anthony, Justin, Austin, Levi, Landon, and Collin, 12 great-grandchildren and an abundance of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Mr. Harward was preceded in death by his brothers, Obie and Lamar Harward and a daughter, Wendy Leagon "Martin".

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 8, 2023, from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary 400 W. Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC 29702. Memorial services will immediately follow, at 5:30 pm with Bishop Gerald McCleave officiating.
