GROVER- Mr. Charlie Lee Lemons, 88, of Grover passed away Wednesday January 30, 2013 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. A native of Cleveland County, he was born March 28, 1924, son of the late Radford and Nancy Roberts Lemons.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Gary Lemons; three brothers, R.L., William, and Earl Lemons; three sisters, Thelma Greene, Margaret Spake, and Adrean Evans.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty Lail Lemons of the home; four daughters, Nancy Dover and husband Donald, Judy Wall and husband Billy, Brenda Whitworth and husband Tony, and Peggy White and husband Matthew; four grandchildren, David Wall, Donna Greene, Donita Weatherford, and Charlie White; three great grandchildren, Adriana and Dawson Weatherford, and Alanna Greene. In addition, from a previous marriage he is survived by two children, Charles Ray Lemons and wife Jane and Pricilla Pearson; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Carl Ray Lemons and wife Margaret; one sister, Ethel Warren and husband James, numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Potts and the staff at Kings Mountain Hospice House for the care that was given to Mr. Lemons during this time and the support that was given to his family.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel of Shelby.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8:00 pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby.
CLERGY: Dr. Tim Sims will be officiating.
BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Patterson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
