Cheryl Coleman Helgestad, age 63 of Requa Rd. passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Atrium Health in Charlotte. She was born March 20, 1957 in Burke County to the late Russell Eugene and Zeta Whisnant Coleman. Cheryl enjoyed spending time outdoors and working in her yard. She had a great love for animals and enjoyed laughing with her family members

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred John Helgestad, Jr.; brothers, Leland and Roger Coleman; and sister, Deborah Coleman Curlee.

Survivors include her daughters, Jennifer Sanders and husband, Richard of Cherryville, Stephanie Garrett and husband, Cliff of Garner, and Jade Helgestad of Raleigh; grandchildren, Austin Bridges, Cassandra Bridges, Serenity Bridges, and Ramsey Garrett; her special loving dog, Link; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
