Chris Taylor, age 54, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Saturday, April 19, 2014 at his residence.
Born October 4, 1959 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Nathan Buster Taylor and Vonnie Mullinax Taylor. He served in the Army National Guard for several years and was a graduate of Fruitland Bible College. He owned and operated the Davis Donut Shop for many years and attended Forest City Foursquare Church. Chris was instrumental in the starting of Iglesias Bautista Cristo Vive in Spindale. He enjoyed working on the computer, fishing, and woodworking and had the gift of conversation.
Survivors include his son, Kenny Taylor and wife, Ivey of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Dixie Burgess and husband, Gregg of Forest City; brother, Joe Taylor of Rutherfordton and two grandchildren, Alana Taylor and Natalie Taylor. He is also survived by three nieces, Anna Burgess, Patti Burgess and Taylor Burgess.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Floyd’s Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Neil Perry officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
