What: Patriotic Concert
When: 7:00 pm, May 7.
Where: Ambassador Baptist College, 101 Stockton St., Lattimore, NC.
More Info: Patriotic Concert in the Torrey Auditorium. Get a start on celebrating America's 250th birthday by attending "Celebrating Freedom", a patriotic concert presented by the music department of Ambassador Baptist College. The evening will feature music that highlights spiritual and American freedom, including a tribute to veterans, and will conclude with several patriotic favorites.

What: Youth Fundraiser Worship Night
When: 5:30 pm, May 9.
Where: Fallston Baptist Church, 109 Circle Dr., Fallston, NC.
More Info: In the Family Life Center. Featuring Lindy Bryson. Meal provided prior to the Worship Service (Donation Only). Join us for a night of music and fellowship.

Saturday, May 16
What: BBQ Fundraiser
When: 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, May 16.
Where: Buffalo Baptist Church, 108 Buffalo Ch. Rd., Shelby, NC.
More Info: Plates will be sold for $15.00 while supplies last. Whole cakes and desserts will be available for purchase. Extra slaw & sauce will be available for $5.00 each while supplies last. Plates will be served between 11-1 and the Boston Butts will be available for pickup between 9-1. Whole Boston Butts are $45.00 which includes sauce & slaw. Blood Drive: Monday, May 11, Family Worship Center COG and the KM Ministerial Association will sponsor a blood drive from 12 till 5:30 pm, 1818 Shelby Rd., Kings Mountain. You may register online at Oneblood.org/donate with code 68025, at FWC on Sunday or just walk in. Donors will receive a $20 e-gift card and another gift. ID is required. Be a blessing.


Nar-Anon Support Group: Meets 6:30 pm weekly on Tuesdays at the First Baptist Church, 120 N. Lafayette St., Shelby, NC. Nar-Anon is a support group for those affected by someone else's drug addiction. We meet in the classroom of Dale St., between Sumter and Campbell St. Park on the side of the church or in the alley. Al-Anon Family Groups Support: Al-Anon Family Support Groups support those who are affected by someone else's drinking and drug use. No Name AFG meets on Mondays at 12 noon at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 510 W Sumter St., Shelby. Contact Kay at 704-473-4891. Shelby AFG meets on Thursdays at 8:00 pm at Shelby Presbyterian Church, 226 E. Graham St., Shelby. Contact Jann at 704-692-7688.
