Clara Mae Brackett McNeilly, 77, of 109 Brackett Hill Road, Casar, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Magnolia Lane Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Morganton.
Born March 21, 1934 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter to the late Other Brackett and Lizzie Brooks Brackett. She retired after 18 years of service at Carolina Shoe Company of Morganton. Mrs. McNeilly was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Selma Brackett; an infant son and a brother, Joe Dean Brackett.
Mrs. McNeilly was a wonderful loving mother, mother-in-law and grandmother to three sons, Richard McNeilly and wife Wanda of Casar; Dennis McNeilly and wife, Christine of Shelby and Ralph McNeilly, Jr. and wife Carolyn of Casar; and a daughter, Kay Downs and husband, Donald of Casar. She is also survived by a step-brother, Ivan Lovelace of Shelby; a sister, Jewel Ledbetter of Shelby; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and a special friend, Herbert Scott.
Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.
Funeral Service: 3:00 PM, Sunday Corinth Baptist Church, Casar

Burial: Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery
