Blacksburg -- Claude Dean Moore, 68, 265 Ed's Road, Blacksburg, passed away Friday, December 14th, 2012 at his residence.
Born in Kings Mountain, NC, Mr. Moore was the husband of Rosa Robbins Moore of the home and the son of the late James Claude Moore and Mamie Lee Wilson Moore. He worked as a mechanic in the textile industry and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Moore is survived by one son, Jimmy Dean Moore of Blacksburg; one daughter, Loretta Moore Byars of Blacksburg; three sisters, Mary Eva M. Boheler, Artilla M Grindstaff, and Margie M. Greene, all of Kings Mountain, NC; three grandchildren, Ashley J. Byars, J. D. Moore, and Megan R. Byars, all of Blacksburg; and one great-grandchild, Lucas Scott Allen of Blacksburg.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 16th, 2012 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 17th, at 3:00pm at Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Sellers and Rev. Virgil Hampton officiating. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at the residence.
