Cleveland County Memorial Library Happenings
Holiday Stuffed Animal Sleep Over
Children Ages 0-6 are invited to bring their stuffed animal for story time, and then the animals are invited for a sleep over at the library! The library staff will tuck the campers in for the night and when the library doors are closed, the animals will explore the library, play games, eat snacks, and will have lots of fun! The animals can be picked up the next day and will be ready to go home with their certificate of participation, and a photo of their favorite part of the night! The special “pre-tuck in” Story Time will be held on Friday, December 13 at 10:30 a.m.

“Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pup”
Disney’s “Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pup” will be shown on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the Plaster Meeting Room.  Starring a brand-new litter of the cutest talking pups ever – Hope, Jingle, Charity and Noble – and experience perfect free holiday fun for the whole family. When Mrs. Claus travels to Pineville, the playful Santa Pups stow away on her sled. Taking mischief to a whole new level, they begin granting joyful wishes to Pineville’s boys and girls, but something goes wrong – the Christmas spirit begins to disappear. Now the Santa Pups and Mrs. Claus must race to save Christmas around the world. December Teen Book Talk
and Teen Advisory Group Meeting
Youth ages 12-17 are invited to come and provide their opinions and reviews of their current “reads”.  Teens will also participate in upcoming library programming planning and library catalog suggestions for the upcoming year. The group will meet in the Meeting Room on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. To obtain a Teen Book Talk review sheet   (to be completed prior to the meeting), or TAG information and an application, please call the Youth Services Office at 704-487-9069, ext. 233.   
 Come Enjoy the Emmy and Peabody Award Winning “A Charlie Brown Christmas”
Children ages 0-5 and their caregivers are invited to come and enjoy the holiday classic “A Charlie Brown Christmas” on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the Plaster meeting room.  Repelled by the commercialism of Christmas he sees around him Charlie Brown tries to find the true meaning of Christmas in original 1965 Peanuts classic. Happy New Year!  Countdown to “Twelve O’Clock Noon”
Children ages 0-10 are invited to this very unique CCML New Year’s Eve celebration! Come join the fun and enjoy a special New Year’s Eve story time and fun surprises, as we ring in 2014!
