Cleveland County Outdoors July 15th Edition
Due to the holiday last week and a family illness, I was unable to get a fishing report ready for last week, for that I am very sorry.

Kosa

The Kosa retirees fished Lake Norman 2 weeks ago with David O’Shields and Doug Sparrow getting the win with 8.30. John Black and Roger McNeilly had 7.60 and were second with Tommy Wess and James Haynes third with 7.20. Big bass was a 2.85 largemouth brought in by Wess and Haynes. Last week the old-timers fished on Lake Hickory with Don and Sara Ledford taking the win with 16.40. Ronnie Humphries fishing solo got second with 12.50 and third went to John Black and Roger McNeilly with 6.20. Big bass was a 3.60 largemouth brought in by the husband and wife team of Don and Sara Ledford. This week they will be back on Lake Wylie and with Monday evening’s rains in the Charlotte area, it could make this a very good tournament.

Moss

On July 1, twenty-three boats fished the weekly Thursday night bass tournament on Moss Lake. Tommy and Tim Chapman took first place with 7.48. Michael Coffee and Robert Peterson had 6.68 and landed in second with Brian and Cody Hoyle taking third with 5.70. Matt Arey and Les Dulin claimed fourth with 4.51 and fifth went to Randall and Randy Wright with 3.97. Big bass was a  3.57 largemouth brought in by the team of Coffee and Peterson. This past Thursday only 15 boats made the trip towards Kings Mountain. Jody Black and Les Dulin got the win with 11.10. Brian and Cody Hoyle had 9.76 and were second and third went to Randall and Randy Wright with 9.12. Big bass this past week was a 4.10 largemouth brought in by Black and Dulin.
