Cleveland County Outdoors June 17th edition
 KOSA

The Kosa retirees fished Lake Norman last week with the team of John Black and Roger McNielly getting the win with a catch of 11.70. J R Garland fished solo and took second with 8.95, followed by Ray Hembree and James Osborne with 8.70. Hembree and Osborne had the big bass of the day with a 3.95 largemouth. The old timers will be on Lake Hickory this week from 7am til 1pm


Ticona


The Ticona Bassin Bunch fished Lake Wylie in the wee hours of Saturday morning. Allen and Gary Gamble had 14.7 and took the win. They also had big bass of the day with a 4.10 largemouth. Tony and Jody Black had 13.10 and were second, followed by Jimmy Weaver and David Bowen with 7.8. Fourth place went to Danny and Tommy Edwards with 5.10. The Ticona crowd will fish Lake Hickory next with hours again of 4am til 11am. Don’t worry Michelle, Tony is getting older every day, You’ll get him before long.


Moss


Twenty-six boats fished the weekly event on Moss Lake last Thursday night. Mitch and Stacy Gardner got the win with 7.0. Jody Black and Adam Howell had 6.90 and took second while Matt Arey and Les Dulin settled in third with 6.80. Todd Hurst and Roger Philbeck had 6.55 and were fourth, they also took big bass of the night with a 2.9 largemouth. Rounding out the top five was Gary Smart and Johnny Davis with 5.50.


CCBC


The Cleveland County Bass Club fished High Rock Lake last Saturday, Roger Beaver got the win with 14.34. He was followed by Chuck Camp, who had 11.34. It became a family affair after that, as Tammy Melton took third with 11.22 followed by her father-in-law Larry Melton with 9.66 and rounding out the top five was husband Jimmy Melton with 9.64. Tammy took big bass honors with a 5.70. July will see the CCBC fish their annual husband/wife tournament on Lake Wylie and they will fish Lake Norman at night for their normal July points event.


Bass Casters


The Bass Casters fished Lake Wylie Saturday night/Sunday morning last weekend. Mark Swink picked up the win with 13.9. Bruce Camp had 13.2 and was second followed by Ricky McKinney with 11.15. Mitch McCracken had 11.9 and was fourth with John Brown getting fifth with 8.2. McKinney had the big bass of the night with a 4.11 largemouth. The Bass Casters will fish Lake Hickory at night in July. Top three in the end of year points were Mitch McCracken, Bruce Camp and Randy Scarborough. The top ten fish-off will be fished sometime later this fall.
