Cleveland County Outdoors November 4th Edition

KOSA

The Kosa retirees last fished on Lake Norman with David O’Shields and Doug Sparrow getting the win with a catch of 7.45. John Black and Roger McNeilly had 6.90 and took second place while Ronnie Humphries settled in third with 4.70.

John Black and Roger McNeilly had big bass of the day with a 2.45 largemouth.

Lake Wylie will be the Lake of choice this week.

Special Olympics event

The North Shelby School/Special Olympics Bass Tournament is this Satuday on Lake Norman and in talks with Ricky Peace on Tuesday, there are roughly 70-75 boats already entered. Remeber the cut off is 150 and by Friday there should be easily 80-85 as many anglers put off entering early. Some have to wait on work schedules, others will wait and see how the weather is going to be. By all indications, it should be a typical November day with cool nights and pleasant day temperatures. So, as I stated before, I look for a full field by blast off Saturday morning.

Cherryville native and now retired BASS angler Guy Eaker will again host the event for Eaton. This is a very good event, for a good cause and extrememly good payout down the field and awesome prizes and drawings. Best of luck to all who fish, be sure to check back in the Shelby Shopper next week for the top 10 finishers.
