Smyrna -- Connie Lynn Vaught, 68, of 157 Orebank Road, passed away Friday, August 7th, 2015, at her residence.

Born in Elkton on April 9th, 1947, she was the wife of James Kyle "Jim" Vaught and the daughter of the late Donald S. Preston and Dorothy H. Preston. Mrs. Vaught retired from textiles and very gifted at cooking, baking, and sewing. She devoted her life to loving and serving her family and extended family. Mrs. Vaught was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Vaught is survived by a son, Travis Kyle Vaught, of the home; a brother, Michael Nolan Preston, of Chesapeake City, MD; a sister, Donna Lee Lattimore, of Hickory Grove; one granddaughter, Kylee Danielle Vaught; three nieces, Lori Harris, Crystal Preston, and Kerri Campbell; and a nephew, Jason Preston.,

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vaught was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce G. Preston.

Arrangements for Mrs. Vaught are incomplete.

The family will be at the residence.
