The Council on Aging/Neal Senior Center located at 100 T.R. Harris Drive Shelby, NC will host an annual Christmas Feast on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. The cost for the meal is $7.50. The meal will include Turkey and Dressing, Coleslaw, Green beans, Yams, Biscuit, Dessert, and Beverage. The Kitchen Table Dining Room will be closed for regular daily dining. Takeouts will be available but must be picked up by 11:00 a.m. in the Twisted Spoon (former Coffee Shop). Each individual will need to specify at the time of purchase as to whether their meal will be dine in or takeout. Tickets go on sale Thursday, November 15th – Thursday, December 13th.
Guest Speaker will be Rev. Wayne Allen of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Shelby. Special music will be provided by the Crest High School Orchestra under the direction of
Mr. Peter Strickland and a special Christmas Poem written by Keith Morrow will be recited by Betty McEntire. Tickets may be purchased through Mary Hamrick, Secretary. For more information, please call (704) 482-3488 or email mhamrick@agingcouncil.org.
