Coy Ray Leonhardt
Coy Ray Leonhardt, 69, of 7153 Hwy 182 in Cherryville died Thursday June 16,
2011 at White Oak Manor in Shelby.

Born August 23, 1941, in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Napolean
Coy Leonhardt and Mary Alice Reep Leonhardt. He was a retired truck driver
for Coca Cola. He also served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
Ray was also a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church where he was a
member of the choir and also enjoyed helping with the fish fries and any
other fundraiser going on at the church.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers Paul,
Grady, and Wayne Leonhardt.

Survivors include his wife Margie Wellmon Leonhardt of Fallston; two
daughters, Melanie Leonhardt Wilson and husband Darrell, of Fallston and
Kristy Leonhardt of Fallston; granddaughter, Mackenzie Wilson of Fallston;
two brothers, Ed Leonhardt and wife Betty and Joe Leonhardt  and wife Debbie
both of Cherryville;  one sister, Sara Burgess and husband David of Denver,
sister-in-law Sue Peeler of Lawndale; numerous neices and nephews and great
neices and nephews.

Visitation, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Friday, Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston. At
other times the family will be at the home of Joe and Debbie Leonhardt, 7128
Hwy 182, Cherryville, NC. Condolences may be made online at

Funeral Services, 3:00 pm, Saturday,  Bethlehem United Methodist Church,
Cherryville.  The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes before
the service.

Entombment: Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston.
