Cynthia Opal Ward Sigman, 71, of Shelby, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Atrium Health - Cleveland.

Born in Catawba County, on August 12, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Glenn Anderson Ward and Donnavee Shelton Ward. She was retired from Drexel Furniture and was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Gene Sigmon.

She is survived by her two sons, Matthew Sigman and Donald Sigman both of Lawndale; a brother Steven Ward; a sister, Brenda Lewis a special niece Kelly Williams of Lenoir, and several loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 15, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Zion Hill Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Allan Barlow and Rev. Michael Lewis officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
