SHELBY-Daniel Lee Worthey Sr., 72, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at his home. A native of Gaston County, he was the son of the late Robert "Jack" and Georgia Ledwell Worthey. He served in the Army during Vietnam, and retired from C.A. Short after 35 years of service.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert L. and Carl Worthey.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Williams Navey Worthey; daughters, Lori Worthey Coleman and husband Hayne, Janice Worthey Fowler and husband Mike, Cathy Worthey and partner Tammy Brandon; sons; Daniel Lee Worthey Jr., Robby Price and wife Kathy, Jody Price and wife Suzie; step-son, Sean Navey and wife Andrea; step-daughter, Dawn Cash and her former husband Adam; sister, Frances Stringer; special friends, Ashligh and Kristen Billerman, Jim and Kathy Grigg, and Don and Shirley Smith; grandchildren, Courtney, DJ, Hannah, Andrew, Alston, Chivonne, Stevie, Austin, Timmy, Amber, Misty, Matthew, Linda, Rusty, AJ, Tyler, Wesley, Destiny, Robbie, and Buddy; 27 great-grandchildren; and his four legged son, Wrinkles

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Wednesday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Wednesday, 12:30-2pm, at the funeral home, and other times at his home.

BURIAL: will follow in Sunset Cemetery with military honor's
