Danny L York, 69 of E. Academy Street, Cherryville passed away, Friday,
October 12, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

Born June 3, 1949 in Randolph County, he was a son of the late Clyde Joseph
York, Sr. and Bertha Newell York. He was a member of Cherryville Missionary
Methodist Church.

Danny is survived by his wife of 36 years, Joyce Clay York; two sons, Chris
York and wife, Torie of Carthage and Danny York, Jr. and wife, Sherry of
Asheboro; three stepchildren, Lynne Scarlett and husband, Don of Lexington,
Randy Daves of Cherryville and Robert Daves and wife, Kay of Shelby;
brother, C.J. York, Jr. and wife, Lily of Asheboro; one grandchild, Emily
Bressler and 8 step-grandchildren and 18 step great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Monday at Cherryville Missionary
Methodist Church.

The funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Monday at Cherryville Missionary
Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Holtsclaw officiating.

Burial will follow in the City Memorial Cemetery, Cherryville.
