Danny "Plow Boy" Lancaster, 62, of 2615 Ball Park Rd, Lawndale, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.
Born November 11, 1950 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late George Thomas Lancaster and Kathleen Hamrick Lancaster. He was retired from Duke Power as an electrician at Catawba Nuclear Plant and was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Lancaster.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Janice Ramsey Lancaster; son, Shane Lancaster and wife Rita of Grover; four daughters, Amy Dixon and husband, Mike of Grover, Judy Bolin and husband, Jeff of Shelby, Lynn McGowans and husband, Barry of Mooresboro and Cindy Lancaster and fiancé, Terry Johnson of Lawndale; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Weldon Lancaster of Shelby and William Lancaster of Gaffney; and two sisters, Evelyn Beam and Margaret Murray both of Earl.
Visitation: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Thursday at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church
Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Thursday at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church
