| Mr. Dathia Lee Sanders, 91, resident of 302 Plantation Drive, Kings Mountain, NC, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010. Services were held at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel. Burial followed in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC with Military Honors by the Marine Corp League.
Mr. Sanders served our country in the U.S. Army, Pacific Theatre during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Syble Wells Sanders; his parents, Rufus James and Flossie Ledford Sanders; 4 brothers, Rev. James Sanders, Fred Sanders, Boyd Sanders and Arshel “Bill” Sanders; and 2 sisters, Cloe Bowen and Ruby Conner.
He is survived by 2 sons, David Sanders and wife Debbie of Gaffney, SC, and Steve Sanders and fiancé Teresa Melton of Kings Mountain, NC; 4 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
