David Bruce "Heavy" Thomas, 65, of 894 Hopewell Rd, passed away on Sunday, August 28th, 2022, at Blue Ridge In Brookview Healthcare Center.

Born in Gaffney, SC, he was the husband of Tammie Johnson Thomas and the son of Herbert Duncan and Mae Sue Hill Duncan.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Thomas is survived by a son, Joseph Dean Thomas, a step-son, Jeremiah Wayne Johnson, two brothers, Eddie Thomas (Audrey) and Boyd Thomas Jr., three sisters, Tammy Parris, Karen Reynolds, and Lafern Thomas, and three grandchildren, Mackenzie Thomas, Justus Thomas, and Bryson Wayne Johnson.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Lee Duncan, and a sister, Ann Sheehan.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 5:00-6:30 pm at Cherokee Gospel Tabernacle, 613 4th Street, Gaffney, SC.

The family will be at their respective homes.
