David Earl Varner, 74, of 1286 Lookout Tower Road, passed away on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024, at Atrium Health Cleveland.

Born in Gaffney, SC, he was the life partner of Ruby Wray and the son of the late Frank and Inez West Varner. David loved animals, especially his cat, Whistle Britches.

Surviving Mr. Varner are his partner, Ruby Wray, and three siblings.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Varner was preceded in death by eleven siblings.

Graveside services will be held Friday, August 2nd, 2024 at 11:00 am at Clingman Memorial Gardens, 1219 East Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC.
