Blacksburg -- David Edward Weller, age 64, died unexpectedly on February 1st. He is the loving son of George and Dorothy Weller of Minneapolis, MN, the father of daughters, Bridgette (Jeff) Collins, Andrea (Matt) McMillian, and the grandfather of Rylie, Haylie, Erin, Cody and Alexis. Dave had five brothers and seven sisters and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet, father, George, and sister, Beverly.

Dave was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN and most recently made his home in Blacksburg SC. He was a proud Marine who was stationed at Camp Pendleton. Mr. Weller worked for Waste Management, BFI and was co-founder of New South Waste. After “retiring,” he and his partner, Kathy, owned the Bears Den in Grover, NC. Dave was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast who, with his brother, George, took a bucket list trip cross-country last year. He will be deeply missed.

The family of Mr. Weller will receive friends on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel.
