Blacksburg -- David Eugene Almason, 57, of 331 North Shelby Street, passed away Friday, August 7th, 2015, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Oakland, CA, he was the husband of Lavern Almason and the son of the late William Almason and Elenaor Caires. Mr. Almason worked in the restaurant industry.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Almason is survived by two daughters, Robin Burgess of Salem, SC and Jennifer Tuck, of the home, and three grandchildren, Kaislie, Joseph, and Baelynn Burgess.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Almason was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Almason and a sister, Winniefred Durham.

Memorial services will be held Monday, August 10th, 2015 at 6:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel.
