David Lawrence Dickson, 78, of 310 Antioch Road, passed away Sunday, January 11th, 2015, at his home.
Born in Blacksburg, he was the widower of Betty Borders Dickson and the son of the late John Dickson and Annie Lee Goforth Dickson. Mr. Dickson retired as a Mechanic and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. Dickson are two brothers, Gilbert Dickson of Blacksburg and Bobby Joe Dickson and wife, Pat, of Blacksburg; one sister-in-law, Linda Dickson, of Gaffney; two nephews, John Dickson of Boston, MA and Joseph Dickson of Gaffney; one niece, Angie Dickson Upchurch of Blacksburg; and one step-daughter, Tanny Hambright, of Blacksburg.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Dickson was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Dean Dickson; a sister-in-law, Beth Dickson; and one nephew, Carl Dickson.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 13th, 2015, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Graveside services will immediately follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery at 3:30 pm with Rev. Harold Beam officiating.
The family will be at their respective homes.
