Blacksburg -- Deanna Sue Fizer Queen, 73, of 320 Indian Springs Road, passed away Tuesday, January 11th, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Bluefield, WV, she was the wife of John Larry Queen and the daughter of the George H. Fizer and the late Delphia Blankenship Fizer. Mrs. Queen formerly worked as a Travel Coordinator for Parks, Recreation, and Tourism of the State of South Carolina.

In addition to her husband and father, Mrs. Queen is survived by a son, John Mark Queen (Kristie Price Queen); a daughter, Deanna Dawn Queen Wise (Ian Wise); a sister, Shelia Dawn Keaton; and seven grandchildren, Ahna Elizabeth Queen, John Connor Queen, Aileana Grace Queen, Forrest William Sherrill Wise, John Ethan Wise, Janet Cree Wise, and Kathryn Ruth Wise.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Vici Lynn Jordan.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 15th, 2022, from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Steve Shannon officiating. Entombment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
