Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Queen
Ms. Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Queen, 57, of  1608 Fallston Road,Shelby, passed away Sunday, January 4, at Hospice at Wendover.

Born in Cleveland County on November 25, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Roy Albert Queen and Belle Brittain Queen.

Debbie was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church Lawndale.  She was a graduate of North Shelby School and worked for Cleveland Vocation.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Harold Queen;  sisters, Betty Byrd and Gail Canipe; and nephew, Bill Queen.

She is survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Wanda Queen and Lathan and Sarah Queen all of Lawndale and Nancy Queen of Polkville; sisters, Martha Edwards of Concord and Barbara Rodden and husband, Herman of Charlotte;  many nieces and nephews and grand  nieces and nephews and a  great grand niece; devoted cargiver, Debbie Poston and other family at Nellie's Family Care Home; and co-workers at Cleveland Vocation in Shelby.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the doctors and staff of
Carolinas Medical Center of Charlotte and Hospice at Wendover.

Visitation:  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 pm
Wednesday at First United Methodist Church Lawndale.  At other times the
family will be at the home of Lathan and Sarah Queen, 149 Ball Park Road,
Lawndale.

Funeral: The funeral will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday at First United Methodist
Church Lawndale.

Officiating: Rev. Rebekah J. Shuford

Burial: Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fallston
