Mrs. Della M. Rainey, 77, of 621 Leander St., Shelby, NC passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010. Services were held at John Knox Presbyterian Church. Burial followed in Cleveland Memorial Park.
Mrs. Rainey was preceded in death by her husband, James Lyndal Rainey; her parents, Frank and Dollie Riley Mellon; 1 sister, Irene Mellon; and 1 brother, Robert Mellon.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Dianne Whisnant and husband Woody of Shelby; 1 brother, Cecil Mellon and wife Dollie of Lattiimore; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Hospice House of Kings Mountain, 321 Kings Mountain Blvd., Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
