SHELBY-Dennis Luther Bridges, 63, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, at White Oak Manor of Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Denny and Kathryn Blanton Bridges. Dennis worked for East Marion Cab Co., as a dispatcher, and was a member of Putnam Memorial Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Lee Bridges; sister, Cindy Bridges; and brother, Lindy Bridges; and his wife, Beverly Bridges

SURVIVED: He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Black; sister, Pat McDonald and husband Ernest of Belwood; brothers, Doug Bridges and wife Lynn, and Chuck Bridges, both of Shelby; sister- in-law, Tammy Bridges of Morganton; grandchildren, Austin Bridges and David Keith Bridges

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held Friday, 2pm, at Putnam Memorial Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the church

BURIAL: Will follow in Sunset Cemetery
