MOORESBORO - Derris Wesley "Wes" Sutton, 64, of Goode Road, Mooresboro, Rutherford County, died on Monday, February 16, 2015 at SECU Hospice House of Rutherford County. A native of Cabarrus County, North Carolina, he was born on August 30, 1950, a son of the late Ed and Esther Holloman Sutton. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Race Path Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Sutton, and one sister. He is survived by his son, Wes Sutton, Jr., and significant other, Sarah Heisler, of Lexington, NC; his daughter, Emily RIdenhour and husband Wade of Lexington, NC; 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
