Diane Marie Nix, 63, 105 Robert Spur Road, Blacksburg, SC, went home to be with the Lord, November 2, 2012, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center, Gaffney, SC. Born in Cherokee County, she is the wife of Maxie Nix, Sr., and a daughter of the late Vernie and Lorene Bolin Richardson. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons - Mark K. Nix and wife, Holly, of Blacksburg;
Maxie Kenneth Nix, Jr. and wife, Cathy, and Michael V. Nix and wife, Jennifer, all of Gaffney.; nine grandchildren; one sister - Clara Henderson of Gaffney; three brothers - Sonny Richardson and Jimmy Richardson both of Gaffney and Bobby Richardson of Blacksburg; one aunt - Clara Bolin of Gaffney and special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one granddaughter - Kayla Marie Nix; and one sister - Shirley Owens.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:30-8:00 PM at White Columns. A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2012, 2:00 PM Graveside at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Bolin officiating. At other times, the family will be at the home of Mark and Holly Nix, 118 Forest Haven Drive, Blacksburg.
