Dianna Lynn Adkins, age 57, of East Spruce Street, Forest City, died Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born May 13, 1958 in Logan County, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Wallace Franklin Adkins and Brookie Maynard Adkins. She worked for Allied Die Casting for many years. Dianna's life enjoyment was having family gatherings and cookouts. She loved her family dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray Maynard, Ingram "Abe" Adkins and Winnie Adkins; sister, Mary Jane Adkins; brother, Lonnie Lee Adkins and a granddaughter, Taylor Grace "Gracie Mae" Alexander.
Survivors include three daughters, Ronda Pritchard, Angie Dyer and Jennifer Whitener all of Forest City; one son, Robert Burgess, Jr. of Dry Pong, Louisiana; grandmother, Barbara Wooten Maynard Neice of Kessler, West Virginia; two brothers, Kenneth Adkins and wife, Kathy of Bruno, West Virginia and Wallace Franklin Adkins, Jr. and wife, Cela of Christian, West Virginia; three son-in-laws, Jerry Pritchard of Shelby, Christopher Dyer and Samuel Whitener both of Forest City. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, Tyler, Zachary, Kayla, Beverly, Sierra, Jacob, Jenna, Christy, Britney, Jeremiah, Chad, Brad and her very best friend Darlene Cooper of Forest City.
A memorial gathering will take place at 6 o'clock in the evening on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the home of Jennifer Whitener; 120 Jack McKinney Road, Harris, NC.
Memorial donations are suggested to Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services, 1251 US Highway 221A, Forest City, NC 28043 to help defray funeral costs.
