CHERRYVILLE -- Dollie Beal Conner, 86, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Conner was born in Lincoln County, NC on September 28, 1931 a daughter of the late Rev. Lester Ray Beal and Mattie Mary Abernathy Beal. She was retired from Carolina Freight Carriers Corporation of Cherryville and was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Mrs. Conner loved flowers, gardening and the beach. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth Charles Conner; two brothers, Giles and Lee Beal and three sisters, Eva Beal Mauney, Hedy Beal Eurey and Alda Beal Smith.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Charlie Conner and wife Jonnie of Cherryville and Melba Conner Freedy and husband John of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Amanda Emmerling and husband Luke of Charlotte; Holly Skibo and husband Josh of Cherryville; Madison and Matthew Freedy of Charleston, SC; great-grandchildren, Will and Max Skibo of Cherryville and Conner andAddison Emmerling of Charlotte and three sisters, Blanche Beal Dixon of Lincolnton; Wray Beal Lindersmith and Betty Beal Spigarelli of New Bern, NC.
The family wishes to thank special friends for their loving care of their mother. Also, a special thanks to the staff at Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 1:30 to 2:45PM at Bethlehem United Methodist Church fellowship hall in Cherryville.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with the Revs. Bill Taylor and Randi Godfrey officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
