MOORESBORO - Donald Clifton Hames, 72, of Stateline Road, Mooresboro, died on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Cherokee County, South Carolina, he was born on March 29, 1942, a son of the late Alvin and Marvy Henson Hames. He was retired from the Textile Industry, a member of Hicks Grove Baptist Church and an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Willine Johnson Hames; one son, Donald Ray Hames and wife Elizabeth of Mooresboro; one daughter, Alice Hames Jolley of Mooresboro; two brothers, Melvin Hames and Roger Hames, both of Mooresboro; two grandchildren, Anissa Joy Hames and Brett Damian Hames.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the graveside on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Hicks Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Raymond Byrd officiating. The family will greet friends and family following the service at the cemetery.
