Donald Eugene "Donnie" Bright, 67, of 1995 Hollis Rd, Ellenboro, died
Monday, February 13, 2012 at his residence.
Born April 3, 1944 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late John Jewel
Bright and Mary Ruth Curtis Bright. He worked for Phoenix Walls
Construction and was of the Baptist faith. Donnie enjoyed fishing and
NASCAR racing. He served in the US Army.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Marilyn Dornheim Bright; two sons,
Randy Bright of Ellenboro and Tracy Bright and wife, Kim of Orlando, FL; two
daughters, Sheena Champion and Dana Bright both of Shelby; three sisters,
Judy Guffey of Hollis, Joreckia Greene of Gaffney and Vernice Webb of
Shelby; twelve grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and special friends,
Robert and Kathy Fox of Orlando, FL.
Visitation: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Friday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston
Memorial Service: 3:00 PM, Friday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston
Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Casar
