Donald Ray Simpson
MONROE - Mr. Donald Ray Simpson, Jack as everyone knew him was born on August 5, 1959 he departed this life on December 28, 2014 at the home of his sister and brother in law Crystal and Leon Sutton, in Monroe N.C.

Jack as everyone knew him graduated from Piedmont High School in 1977. He was employed at Southeastern for 20 years as a Forklift Operator and a lead person. Jack was a very hard worker and took pride in his job. He was good with his hands and very intelligent. When he wasn't building model cars he would take whatever he could find (Popsicle sticks, strings etc.) and build replicas of restaurants, buildings anything that came to his mind. His love for BMW's was known by all, but he had a greater love for his family and friends. Jack was a very private person a little on the shy side some would say, but he had a heart of gold.

On February 2, 2011 Jack gave his life to Christ and on March 7, 2013 he was baptized at Lakeview Baptist Church in Monroe, NC. He was a member at Central Church of God in Charlotte N.C.

Jack was preceded in death by his father Wade Alexander Simpson, his mother Madie Simpson, a brother Nathaniel Thomas Simpson, and a sister Robin Vanessa Rorie.

He leaves to cherish his brother Min. Willie Simpson (Evan. Annette), Charles Simpson (Cathryn), Wade Simpson, Wayne Simpson (Patricia), Crystal Sutton also his caregiver (Leon), Terry Massey (James); step-mother, Marie Simpson brother in law Rodney Rorie and a host of relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, January 02, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Calvary A.M.E. Zion Church, 800 LaSalle Street, Monroe, NC with Evangelist Annette Simpson, Mr. James Alsbrook and Pastor Sebring officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, 800-898 Stafford Street , Monroe , NC.
