Blacksburg-- Donald Wayne Self, 65, of 420 Mullinax Circle, passed away Saturday, July 28th, 2018, at Carolinas Healthcare System Cleveland.

Born in Shelby, NC, he was the husband of Linda Bolin Self and the son of the late Willie Self and Alma Bowen Self. Mr. Self worked in automotive parts.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Self is survived by two sons, Billy Self and Jimmy Self of Blacksburg; three daughters, Lisa Self of Kings Mountain, NC, Brenda Bostic of Rutherfordton, NC, and Melinda Clayton of Blacksburg.

In honor of Donald's life, a gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 31st, 2018, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 1st, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Self Family Cemetery.

The family will be at the residence of his daughter, Lisa Self at 213 Bell Road Unit 13, Kings Mountain, NC.
