| Doris Camp Short, age 79, resident of Dillon Road, Kings Mountain, NC died June 9, 2013 at Peak Resources, Shelby, NC. She was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Raymond Oscar Camp and Ella Clark Camp. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, JD Short; sisters, Geraldine Stewart, Barbara Acuff and son-in-law, Bruce Cadwallader. Mrs. Short was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Grover, NC and a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and known as Maw Maw to everyone. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the caregivers at Peak Resources for the love and care they gave our mother.

NC, Daughters: Darlene Short Cadwallader, Kings Mtn. NC, Lori Anne Short Biggers and husband Jeff, Patterson Springs, NC, Brother: R.O. “Hoppy” Camp, Kings Mtn. NC, Sisters: Ginger Davis, Grover, NC; Toby Owens, Liberty, SC; and Shirley Sisk, Belmont, NC, 16 Grandchildren and 30 Great Grandchildren.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Patterson Grove Baptist Church, Wednesday, June 12, 2013, 3:00 P.M. Dr. Tim Hendricks, officiating.
VISITATION: 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening, June 11, 2013 at Harris Funeral Home.
