Doris Earwood Vinesett

SHELBY-Doris Earwood Vinesett, 79, of Maple Springs Church Rd., died Thurs., Jan. 1, 2015, at Peak Resources of Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Moton and Emma Blanton Earwood. She retired from textiles, and was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years,, Wallace "Wally" Vinesett; daughter, Terri Jane Vinsett; brothers, Walt, Paul, and Don Earwood; sisters, Anne Ledford and Edith Little

SURVIVED: She is survived by her three loving sons, Bill Vinesett and fiancée Candy Wright of Shelby, Chris Vinesett and wife Lori of Belwood, and Cliff Vinesett and wife Amy of Shelby; sister, Nell Allen and husband Ben of Fla.; brothers, Frank Earwood and wife Peggy and Joe Earwood and wife Frances, both of Shelby; grandchildren, Michael Vinesett and wife Leann of Fallston, Kyerstin Vinesett of Shelby, Meghan Bjerke of Wilmington, Taylor Burns and husband Mike of Shelby, Emily Jackson and Garrett Weathers, both of Shelby, Makenzi Vinesett of Kings Mountain, Morgan and Riley Vinesett, and Kaylin Weathers, all of Shelby; great-grandchild, Mason Burns; and special sister-in-laws, Buena Hester and Maxine Cochran of Mooresboro.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Monday, 1p.m., at Flint Hill Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Sunday, 2-3:30p.m., at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at the home of her son, Cliff, 744 Skinner Road, Shelby.

BURIAL: Cleveland Memorial Park
