Doris Rebecca Wright Street
 Doris Rebecca Wright Street, 87, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center.  A native of Rutherford County she was the daughter of the late Ralph Langley and Beulah Melton Wright.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Ira Boyd Street; son, Ralph “Butch” Langley Street; son-in-law, Dennis Wayne Ledford; son-in-law, William S. McNeilly; daughter-in-law, Mary S. Street; brothers, O.T. Wright, Grady Wright, Albert Wright, Wallace Wright; sister, Estelle Wright Mull.  Doris was employed for 11 years at Fiber Industries where she grew the utmost respect for the plant supervisor Gene LeGrand.  She also worked as a beautician for 25 years.  Doris was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 50 years where she taught preschool 4 and 5 year olds for 25 years.  She loved to can, crochet, cross stitch and grow her vegetable garden.  She was a loving mother and grandmother and adored her railroad husband.

Mrs. Street is survived by her son, Albert F. Street, Sr. of Shelby; daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Street Ledford of Earl; grandsons, Frank Street Jr. of Shelby and Brad Wane Ledford of Earl; and many special nieces and nephews.  The family would like to thank the Life Enrichment Center, Dr. Mary Jones and her staff, Dr. Hobsen of the Wound Center at Cleveland Regional, and to the staff of Cleveland Pines Nursing Home for the excellent care they provided for Doris.  The family would also like to thank members of Calvary Baptist Church and Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church for the prayers and cards they received.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.  The Rev. Priscilla Walker and Rev. Tony Sisk will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00pm on Monday, March 5, 2012 at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.  At other times the family will be at the home of Becky Ledford.
