Dorothy Ailene Tallent, 84, of 1593 Ed Craig Road, Lawndale, passed away
Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City.

Born in Catawba County on September 28, 1933, she was a daughter of the late
Levi Fredell and Ocie Craig Fredell. She was a homemaker and a member of
Olive Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Johnie
Robert Tallent; three sons, Robert Eugene Tallent, Ronnie Edward Tallent,
and Timothy Lee Tallent; brother, Fred Tallent; and two sisters, Mae Hudson
and Elvie Smith.

She is survived by two sons, Bobby Loyd Tallent of Lawndale and Charles
Glenn Tallent of Cleveland County; four daughters, Betty Rebecca Tallent,
Nancy Ann Tallent and Barbara Alan Tallent all of Vale and Jeanette Tallent
Mullet of Rutherford County; brother Marshall Fredell of Lincolnton; five
grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday form 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at Olive Grove Baptist
Church Cemetery with the Rev. Terrill Crump officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
