Dorothy Dover Wells, 77, of 208 Westmoreland Road, passed away on Thursday, May 16th, 2024, at the Cherokee Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, SC, she was the widow of Steve Wells and the daughter of the late William and Martha Boheler Dover. Dorothy formerly worked at McDonald's and attended Rapture Ready Church.

Surviving Mrs. Wells are her four children: Shirley Jackson (Terry), Johnny Wyatt (Jodi), Melisa Bailey, and Steve Wells; a brother, Bill Dover; a sister, Shirley White; seven grandchildren: Adam Bailey, Jessica Wyatt, Jennifer Wyatt, Meagan Wheeler, Leann Swofford, Jewel Wells, and Zack Wells; and three great-grandchildren: Julie, Jaylee, and Wyatt Carroll.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 19th, 2025, from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 20th, 2024, at 11:00am at Rapture Ready Church with Rev. Josh Henderson and Rev. Danny Marshburn officiating. Interment will follow at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery.
