She is survived by two daugthers - Kathie W. Ledford and husband, Johnny, of Grover, NC, and Debbie W. Batchler and husband, Ronnie, of Blacksburg, SC; one sister - Mary Ann Moore of Gastonia, NC; five grandchildren - Chuck Harrison and wife, Tanya, of Blacksburg, SC, Jennifer Goodnite and husband, Jason, of Kings Mountain, NC, Danielle Harrison of Gaffney, SC, John David Ledford and wife, Allison, of Grover, NC, and Taylor Batchler of Blacksburg, SC; and four great-grandchildren - Maddison Shaer of Gaffney, SC, Daniel Harrison and Lauren Harrison of Blacksburg, SC, and Emma Goodnite of Kings Mountain, NC. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Whelchel, and her brother, Edward Isler.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 14, 2012, from 1:00 - 2:00 PM, at White Columns. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00 PM with Revs. Scott Hammett and John Barnhardt officiating. Burial will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens. At other times, the family will be at the home of Debbie and Ronnie Batchler, 117 Garden Lakes Dr., Blacksburg, SC.
Pallbearers serving are Chuck Harrison, Daniel Harrison, John David Ledford, Donnie Goins, Jimmy Ledford and Jason Goodnite.
