Shelby – Mrs. Dorothy Louise Carpenter Hart, 81 of 1243 Yarn Mill Road passed away May 11, 2012 at her home.

Born March 12, 1931 in Gaston County, she was a daughter of the late Carl Hoke Carpenter and Lela Bell Carpenter.  She was retired from Hickory Chair as a finisher and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Hart.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Grigg and wife Debbie of Shelby, Bobby Grigg of Shelby and Don Grigg and wife, Debbie of Conover; a daughter, Margie Moss and husband, Wayne of Shelby; eight grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Inez Carpenter of Gastonia.
