Dorothy Victoria Dover Moore

Dorothy Victoria Dover Moore, 90, of 237 Wendy Dr., passed away on Wednesday, August 4th, 2021, at her home.

Born in Blacksburg, she was the widow of Everette C. Moore Sr. and the daughter of the late George and Bertha Mullinax Dover. Mrs. Moore retired from textiles and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Moore are two sons, Roger Dale Moore (Sherry) and Billy Dean Moore (Felicia); five daughters, Shirley Ann Carroll, Doris Jean Richardson (Terry), Cathy Elaine Wilson, Sandra Faye Cagle (Garry), and Darlene Renee Gregory (Glenn); thirty grandchildren; fifty-six great-grandchildren, and twenty-three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband; parents; two sons, Elbert Sonny Moore Sr. and Everette C. Moore Jr.; four sisters, Elsie Mae "Boots" Carroll, Mary Sue Hamrick, Shirley Roark, and Gladys Dover; and three brothers, Odell Dover, Frank Dover, and Floyd Deaton Dover.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 6th, 2021, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 7th, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Lighthouse Baptist Church with Rev. Grady Gregory and Mr. Todd Mode officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. John Wayne Coyle, David Thornton, Bobby Moore, Justin Gregory, Jamie Carroll, Dylan Ramsey, John Tyler Carroll, Roger Moore Jr., and Billy Moore Jr. will serve as pallbearers.

The family will be at the residence.

The Moore family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Spartanburg Regional Hospice for the special care they received during Mrs. Moore's illness.
