Dorothy "Dot" Ann Mellon Hunt, 66, of 4964 Rob Carswell Street, Morganton,
died Friday, May 3, 2013 at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care in Valdese.
Born May 17, 1946 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Rufus
Irvin Mellon and Everlynn Tessener Mellon. She was retired from Doran
Textiles and was a member of Carswell Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Faye
Albea, Margaret Tessener and Ruth Mellon.
Survivors include her husband, Clyde Robert Hunt; son, Robert Hunt and wife,
Tracy of Ruffin, NC; daughter, Robin Carswell and husband, Dean of
Morganton; brother, Ralph Mellon of Shelby; sister, Verl Cash of Shelby;
four grandchildren and special friend, Gail.
Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Sunday at Carswell Memorial Baptist Church,
Morganton
Officiating: Rev. Isaac Propst
Burial: Carswell Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, Morganton
