Doyle Eugene "Gene" Cobb, 60, of 632 Cherokee Falls Road, passed away Thursday, August 8th, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, Mr. Cobb was the son of Nefford Cobb and the late Ruth Owensby Cobb. He loved to read and was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his father, Mr. Cobb is survived by a brother, Thomas Edward Cobb and wife, Nina, of Blacksburg and a sister, Anita Smith and husband, Dan, of Shelby.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 10th, 2013, from 2:00pm - 3:30pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:30pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Steve Hicks and Rev. Al McKinney officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be at the residence.
