Dr. Albert Logan Hardin

Dr. Albert Logan Hardin, 92, of 438 Keg Town Mill Road, Chesnee, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at his residence.

Born in Rutherfordton, NC, he was the husband of the late Jettie Philbeck Hardin and son of the late Roy Logan Hardin and Pinkie Fortenberry Hardin. He was a graduate of Tennessee Temple School and received honorary doctorate degrees from Victory Baptist Bible Institute and Faith Baptist Institute and Bible College. He formerly served as minister of Hansonville Baptist in Virginia, Grace Temple Baptist Church in Chesnee, two other churches in the Tennessee, and served as moderator of the Piedmont Baptist Fellowship for over 40 years. He was a U. S. Army Korean War veteran stationed in Germany, and a member of the Case Knife Collector's Club. He loved his Lord and his family.

He is survived by a son, John A. Hardin (Julie) of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Jackson Hardin (Sarah) and Caitlan Farmer (Matthew); six great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Hardin, Adalynn Hardin, Logan Hardin, Brighton Farmer, Sterling Farmer and Maverick Farmer; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Scottie Logan Hardin, a sister, Betty Allen and a brother, Forrest Hardin.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Southside Baptist Church in Chesnee. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM at the Church with Dr. Phil Kidd and Reverend Camden Bagwell officiating. Interment, with military honors, will be in Cleveland Memorial Park in Shelby.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

The family will be at the residence, 438 Keg Town Mill Road, Chesnee, SC 29323.
