Dustin Garver Update & Correction
First, let us correct an article we published in our August 25th edition about Dustin Garver. The disease that Dustin has had for 23 years is Cystic Fibrosis not Multiple Sclerosis. The “Hammer” (his nickname) is still at Duke Hospital and is receiving four hours of therapy four days a week.  According to his dad, Rick, his attitude remains positive. Presently, it appears that he will not need a liver transplant. He will continue to get therapy and tested at Duke and is being prepared for two lung transplants. Dustin will not return home to Lawndale until the transplants are complete. Our continued prayers are with Dustin and his family.
