Earnesteen Pearson “Teeny” Barnes
Earnesteen Pearson “Teeny” Barnes, 74, of Cordell Road, Mooresboro, died on Thursday, November 07, 2013 at SECU Hospice House of Rutherford County. A native of Rutherford County, she was born on July 13, 1939, a daughter of the late Willie Lee “Winkie” Pearson and Hattie Hawkins Pearson. She was a retired beautician, textile worker and worked for P.P.G., and member of Prospect Baptist Church.
 
Teeny’s treasures in life were her grandsons, Jordan and Judson. She also loved her son Dennis and daughter-in-law, Tammy with a special love and pride. Her most favorite thing in life was cooking for the family, especially for the holidays. She also loved gardening and working in her yard.
 
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John Wayne “J.W.” Barnes; one daughter, Denise Lynn Barnes.
 
She is survived by her son, Dennis Barnes and wife Tammy of Rutherfordton; one brother, Ronald Pearson and wife Brenda of Cliffside; one sister, Frances Wallace and husband William A. “Jack” of Rockingham; two grandsons, Jordan Barnes and Judson Barnes; one god-daughter, Stephanie.
 
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Main Street Baptist Church 327 E. Main Street, Spindale, NC 28160, with the Rev. Rick Brewer and Rev. Roger Gosnell officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary.
