Ed Brown

Ed Brown, 77, of 633 South Charleston Street, passed away on Monday, October 11th, 2021, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Blacksburg, he was the husband of Diane Lee Brown and the son of the late James Eli Brown and Mary Novella Harris Brown. Mr. Brown was owner/operator of Ed Brown's Rodeo for 52 years. He loved entertaining people and wanted people to leave happy. He loved Blacksburg and loved doing things for his community.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Brown is survived by two sons, Chucky Brown (Leah) and Timmy Brown (Angie); two brothers, J. D. Brown and Larry Brown; four sisters, Joanne Patterson, Louise Byars, Linda Wilson, and Helen Martin; four grandchildren, Tanner, Taylor, Jessie, and Josie.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, October 15th, 2021, from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. The family will be present from 6:00-8:00 pm. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 16th, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Brown Family Cemetery, 633 South Charleston Street, Blacksburg, SC with Rev. Ray Duncan and Rev. Sammy Adams officiating. Please use the South Rutherford Street entrance to the rodeo grounds. Bulldog Huntsinger, Todd Jackson, Charlie Patton, Greg Smith, Ken Treadway, David Tessner, Kylie Mullinax, and Keith Manning will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Moss, Charles Wray, and Jamie Ham.
